MAYBE SELLING A COUPLE ACOUSTIC GUITARS
I have had the great privilege of dumping with 68 current and former Rusty Bunch members, to date. Got to hit the woods of Virginia with Charlie Smigo recently.

Re: MAYBE SELLING A COUPLE ACOUSTIC GUITARS
Both are quality and should be worth some money if they have been cared for and stored properly. Esp. if the Martin is a dreadnaught (D18/28/35/45 etc). Wonder if the third is a squareneck slide guitar, maybe a Dobro or Regal?

Re: MAYBE SELLING A COUPLE ACOUSTIC GUITARS
Shipping acoustic guitars is not fun. Hopefully they have hardshell cases. They need to be detuned, to take the string strain off, then packed very well, hopefully doubleboxed. Expect the carton to be treated rough.

Re: MAYBE SELLING A COUPLE ACOUSTIC GUITARS
I know nothing about guitars. When shipping them, what is the advantage of loosening the strings to take the strain off?
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: MAYBE SELLING A COUPLE ACOUSTIC GUITARS
The string tension adds to the stress on the body/neck joint etc as the carton gets slammed around in shipping. Especially if not in a good fitting hardshell case.pinnacle-project wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 8:32 pmI know nothing about guitars.
