That was an amazing auction. Just for fun, I bid $100 on it early on but I knew I did not stand a chance of getting it.

I just had a guy on ebay tell me a can I was selling looks to nice, so nice that it must be a phoney fake repaint. I wonder if he told this Pfeiffer guy the same thing.

I was interested in the can so I inquired with some questions. Seller told me it was rolled. With that information, I was out.

SO, Seller knew it was rolled but purposely left that information out of Auctions Description to get more money. I'm sure it was just a accident. Some people just don't like rolled cans. I don't mind them but think they are only worth half of what a real one would be. LEON.

The can went for a lot more than I expected given its condition. Here is a bunch of Grand Rapids cans from the Patrick Henry show in 2018. The price was $1500 for this Fox Deluxe olive drab. An argument could be made that the can at these shows was a bargain but I still think the one on ebay was too high. Just my opinion of course. I am sure the buyer is pleased.

Here is the same can six months later at the Winterfest show in Frankenmuth in 2019. I believe the can sold at Frankenmuth.

No. My pictures above show one Fox Deluxe OD. I used two pictures because the first one includes a price but the second shows the can better. The can belonged to Mark Dietrich until he sold it back in January. I believe you have met him before. The can Mark sold I believe is different than the one that sold on ebay over the weekend. I believe Mark's can was in better condition than the one on ebay.

I saw one white Patrick Henry magistrate can that was offered for around $2,000. Given its condition, I thought the price was crazy. I forgot to get a picture of it and it is no longer listed.

I also saw the seller that sold the Patrick Henry pictured below and two Fox Deluxe quarts. I thought these all sold for fair market value (but more than I can afford).

Patrick Henry magistrate sold on June 23 for $430.

Bryan, Marks FD OD is the same can that sold on ebay over the weekend. It's got the same flaws. Notice the Blemish in the E on Deluxe on Marks can & the ebay can, exact same Blemish, Same can. I'll admit it looks much better in your pics then the ebay pics. Also the 2 white Patrick Henry's on ebay had the exact same Blemish's as Marks in your pic above. I'd assume the quarts probably came from Mark also? LEON.

I suppose it is possible. Maybe somebody made Mark a bulk deal in hopes they could make money by reselling them.

Or maybe they were selling for Mark? Here's a pic of Marks Blemish in E & The Blemish on the E on ebay can. Don't they look the same, even the scratches next to Blemish are the same. LEON.

Yes, they do look the same. I guess we would need to get all the details from Mark. I am sure the Fox Deluxe OD sold at Frankenmuth last January. I think he may have sold a quart or two but I think he went home with most of his cans.

SAD!
Especially since it is against federal + state laws to ship alcohol
Since it is illegal to ship alcohol, it is also illegal to receive alcohol through the mail if you are paying the person shipping the alcohol.
Sad!

jomama, I know this drives you nuts. I had a friend stop over with some Treehouse brews this weekend. They have an interesting distribution system, sounds non-existent. Only a couple cases can be purchased from the brewery itself. He flew to Boston and waited in line with a bunch of clowns wielding two-wheeler carts to load up and sell on theBay. I showed him the prices they were receiving and he almost flipped- still cheaper than flying to Boston, waiting in line for a couple cases and dealing with a crowd of beards. How do some sellers get away with this? Ziphippie

WOW! People actually pay that much for a full Billy? On Friday and Saturday, a friend and I are doing a garage sale at his house. I have a box of about 20 foreign cans I have no need for and one full Billy. I plan to sell the full Billy plus the foreign cans for $2. No, I won't sell the Billy to a minor.

It's the non-IRTP version, so I assume that version is tough?

Seen this one on ebay. Seems odd the beer can book gives it a high $50 price but it's hard to even get a .99 cent bid on ebay :smt017

I just sold one for $10 on ebay (rusty pit can) but my shipping costs are 1/2 of that seller's. + it took 3 months to sell mine. ... had no idea about the $50 price tag but 90% of all reference book prices are dead wrong.

I got a couple different Coors pull tabs like this. Would hate to sell for only $1.00. LEON.
