Finally Found A Can!
With my renovation company I am long overdue finding cans and mostly because I am restoring 1800's houses BUT today in a mid 1900's house this was up in the attic. As is and almost were was and haven't cleaned it yet.
I'm a bit rusty on Crowntainers so is it a common one or a good one.
Steve

Re: Finally Found A Can!
I think any crowntainer found in an attic in no more than dusty condition is a good one. Congratulations!
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: Finally Found A Can!
Both the silver and the dull gray book for 600. That's a can I would love to add to my small collection in on-grade condition. :)

Re: Finally Found A Can!
As far as I know that's a pretty good can. Tough in Crowntainer. I know when they found some in New York a few Years ago it was a big deal with everybody excited. LEON.

Re: Finally Found A Can!
Nice find..
Always remember that those old houses or buildings built before pre-pro may still contain cans as remodeling are done all the time..When I lived in Sioux City,Ia there was a building built in 1914 and contained 50-60 easy 1950 flats of Storz and Country club that were just 25 dollar cans but was still a cool find for me.
Good luck on your next find

Re: Finally Found A Can!
Steve, very nice can, congratulations. Often there is more then one, did you check the eaves? attic cans often find their way into the eaves, and some times down the outside walls if not capped. Good luck.

Re: Finally Found A Can!
Since I am all packed up waiting on the moving truck even my polish is not to be found at the moment so here it is after just soap and water.
I did find my book now and it is the Dull Grey one I believe.
Searched everywhere today and found no more.

Re: Finally Found A Can!
That's a great find, especially for a first! We only dug them once in the addies but we did find quite a few in one dump. None of the Bev crowns are easy.
