Did a little searching, but have not found very many soda cans in a zip tab/top, why is this?, here's an image of a Sprite "dog bone" top can, still not really the zip top I was looking for.... :?:

I realize that, but there sure seams to be plenty of beer cans in zip tops, still doesn't make sense...

I would think that it also has to do with the volume canned, I'm sure way, way more beer was canned.

Yeah the soda guide only refers to the 'dogbone' zip.

Ok, I’m confused. Yeah I know it doesn’t take much to do that but see attached. What type of top are you referring to that is different? Please post a pic. I thought and both Dave Tanners book and the Beer Can Bible show the dog bone as being Zip Tabs. As for rarity. People drank multiple beers to get drunk. Most people wouldn’t sit and drink one after another after another of soda. Also explains why soda quarts are so rare, people just didn’t drink that much soda at once and the quarts couldn’t be recapped and saved or at least saved and taste good.

I don’t think zip tops on sodas cought in right away and Only a few of the major sodas used them. And if I had to guess, they were produced from 64-65.

64-65 seems more logical to me...but the guide says 63-64, and by 66 I think the regular PT was in use.
