Has anyone noticed that with almost every posting of show pictures, inevitably there are questions of who had this or who had that? Did you also notice that the show from Sacramento had some tables with printed names on them? Because I saw a name on a table, I was able to contact the seller and I will be adding a new small can to my Silly Side Collection.
A big thanks to the organizers of that event for making that possible!

Re: Names Of Sellers
Ed is 100% right. Not only does having your name on your table help when people take pictures and post them here, it also helps at the show. How many times have you been at a show and struggled to buy something because the seller is off looking at other tables? If you put your name and phone number on your table, potential buyers can call you so you can return to your table.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: Names Of Sellers
Having a name tag on your shirt as well as on your table sure would help finding that person if they're unknown to you, so many times I've had to ask others "any clue who's table this is?"pinnacle-project wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 8:49 pm Ed is 100% right. Re: Names Of Sellers
My show itinerary is limited to Frankenmuth & Toledo. Don't remember which one it was at, but I remember seeing an unattended table that had a name and probably a cell number to call if interested in anything. I give that person credit. Sellers are there to move their inventory but they want to enjoy the show as well. Sellers want to socialize like everyone else that's attending. Nobody can blame them for that.
What is it they say? You get out of it what you put into it...

Re: Names Of Sellers
I can not think of another hobby where people take pictures of tables at shows and post them on the internet for the whole world to see.
Probably a tribute to the diversity of items that we collect.
By all means, put your name and number on the table, even if you are sitting behind it.
