Miller Olive Drab Flat Top?

What is the general consensus as to why the Miller OD label design is so different than the non-OD? Why would they do that?

Then again, why not? It would be ironic if the standard label ever turned up or even the converse example wherein a non-OD version of the OD label was found. :eek:

1940s transition can....similiar to the 1930s red Miller Select and also like the black 50s can but really neither.

The design is more like their bottle labels from the 40s....same girl on the case of beer and font for the High Life.
