I picked this up in a small collection. The previous owner was a closet collector who said he got it in Japan around 1970 while he was in the military.
Any thoughts about rarity or value?

Hot item with the ebay crowd - no less than five recently sold examples from $385 on up. There are a couple different versions. Yours looks to be pretty clean.

Depends on the condition of the other side, but diamondcans is right. That one will go no less than $400 - $1200 or so I think

Re: Japanese Diamond Coke Can - Any Good?
The other side has some minor flaws but is not significantly worse. The collection was mostly slag but there were a few items that caught my eye such as this. I appreciate the feedback and the item is definitely for sale if somebody is interested.
Out of curiosity, who's buying this stuff? Is it international Coke collectors from Asia or other parts of the world? It must be a pretty tough can if selling for that much.

Re: Japanese Diamond Coke Can - Any Good?
This can, just as any other diamond cans are pretty popular all over. Could go anywhere really.
Lately I've been downsizing my collection and most of the Coca-Cola cans I listed on eBay go to Europe (Germany, Belgium, France, Italy), and Asia (China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore). A few to South America (Argentina, Chile, Brazil).
