Soda can collection

#1

Post by Dan B »

We picked up a 10,000 can soda collection, as you can imagine lots of stuff going to the dumpster. Dave and Tom are still going through the collection, some neat looking stuff.......

I take it the cans in the photo are not among the ones going to the dumpster …

Looks like those will be a lot of fun to sort through!

In all honesty, we usually do throw the aluminum stuff in the recycle bin, and crimped stuff in the trash. So far according to Dave (I don't know soda cans to well) the best can so far is a paint over 12 ounce Twang, if we can get the black paint off, it will be a stunning example. About 300 flats, 200 pre zip codes and some tough zip code cans. I will see if Dave can shoot more pics.

Be advised there are several aluminum sodas that bring big money. I know of 5 that have brought between $100-$200 and one Mountain Dew Code Red that sold for $800+ several years back. Don’t forget I’m looking for Noah’s. Any flavor. Thanks!

O.k so here is what was done with 5000+ cans. I figured Dave and Tom would do what we usually do with Aluminum and Crimped steel beer cans......DUMPSTER. Instead Dave and Tom loaded up 5000+ cans and they are being stored in a warehouse near Indy, these are going to be give always for a possible soda can show that is in the works. Trying to get this soda can show off the ground, that is pretty much all I know right now about the future soda show.

But if any of you want directions to the DUMPSTER for aluminum and crimped steel beer cans, please get ahold of me.

Area 52 is the dumpster. No these are keepers, I think these or 99% of these are pre zip code cans.

Makes me wonder how many good aluminums you tossed. With cans like those that person had to have had some tough aluminum cans

Nothing was thrown away. They are all in storage. Trust me we do research cans including aluminum. Usually a lot do make it into the dumpster. We would be happy to sell you what we throw away if there is such great value.
