Post by digger »

FOund a cabin dump last week in NE Pa with usual brands from the area but a few oddball sized cans showed up.I was curious as to what they were thought they might be food cans but they were opened like rest of 12 oz flats and never found beer cans this size. After cleaning I could see they Goebels 11 oz never noticed that can in BCCA book like a lot of cans til u actually find them

Very interesting on the 11 oz Goebels, I think longopener found one out east also. Wonder why they were sent there? As far as I know I am the only one who has found them in Michigan, and only once. (about 11 of them ranging from grade 3 to grade 21 condition)

I still have the 11 oz Goebel you tossed to me on a Pa hillside farm dump that day we found the Neuweiler Bocks. You were tossing cans down the hill and even though it was a mystery can, I could tell it was a beer can. An acid bath revealed a Goebel. I'll forgive you though, that was back in 2001! It's packed away and is barely together. I'll find a picture somewhere.

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?

It's been falling apart since the moment I cleaned it.

In retrospect, it was probably the time we dumped one day and went to the Wilks-Barre show, then I drove to Findlay, OH with Joe Germino for another can show.
