I noticed the Fox Deluxe from Peter Fox is OI... many others out there? Was this the first and only?

Re: 8oz. Cans with Opening Instructions
I think this small can preceded any other 7/8 oz can by quite a few years. But I am far from an expert.
I'm constantly finding good cans... in my mailbox. *** My third year of waging Schlitzkrieg on the Flint Hills of Kansas ***

Re: 8oz. Cans with Opening Instructions
USBC-OI dates both 8 oz. Fox Deluxe cans to 1938, but I suspect that the first one is a little older than that because of the U-Permit number and the "Crown Can Co." text. I believe it was the mid-1950's before another brewery used a can so small.

Re: 8oz. Cans with Opening Instructions
I got a friend who recently wrote a book on 1930's gangsters & bootleggers & said his grandparents owed a brewery back then. Said they made a 8 oz. flat top in the 30's & it was not Fox Deluxe. When I asked what it was he said I'd have to buy his book to find out. SO, Never did buy the book or find out but was a very Interesting conversation. LEON.
