English lad find

#1

Post by Dan B »

As the last day was ticking down on Rands auction, Dave was out in Townsend, Ma picking up these beautiful English Lad Ales, along with a few misc cans, Wehle, Crofts, Harvard Beer quart...and so on.

Before and after cleaning pics.

Got some Wackers same weekend!!

Found in a fire station while remodeling 30+ years ago, kept the cans in his garage in a Harvard wood crate. Says he would kick the box of cans around when they were in his way. Filled with sawdust from his profession, he finally decided to get rid of them. Owner was planning on putting them in a yard sale for $5.00 per can.

Dan, Just saw this thread. Thanks for posting the background story of where/how they were found. The cans are fantastic but the story is so real. Imagine the firefighters drinking these back in the day on an off day or after a hard days work. Maybe there are more cans in that fire station or others around the country.
