Just wondering, what's with all the tough tabs coming up for auction all at once? eBay has 3- 007 cans a Playmate and the list goes on. Was thinking collectors trying to pad the wallet befor Canvention ? Or sellers thinking everyone's "can fund" was full with the upcoming event ?
And then Morean's action's is coming up too ? Lots of high end tabs also.
Curious if the sellers or the buyers are going to be smiling after.

Really tough tabs rarely seem to make it to auction. Most I know of have been private sales. But you're right. There are quite a few toughies for sale right now.

Interesting thing is, seems like good cans are still bringing the money. Playmate on Art's site recently sold for $1,300. Couple of 007 cans at $800 and $900 each.
People have many potential reasons to sell. Question is, are there buyers at strong prices? I would argue yes.

Flats, cones & early tabs. Ohio cans, ultra clean cans & shine. East coast cans. Rare rust. And, whatever else catches my eye.

Re: What's With all the tough tabs
While rare flats and cones are largely tied up in collections and are fully valued when they come to market, tabs may be perceived as more attainable. As there are sooooo many tabs, trying to get the rarest 100 may be doable when the same in flats and cones may not. Also, it is a lot cheaper to get the other 99.9% of tabs in good condition.
My 2 cents.
My 2 cents.

It will be interesting to see how these two Zodys play out , seem to be of equal condition .
