Just finished filling the trunk with beer cans. Leaving early tomorrow morning for a 1,048 mile ride to Frankenmuth (with a 1-week stopover in Detroit for my mailman's convention) and should be there sometime on the 20th.
Bringing a bunch of 1935-36 Krueger Cream Ale dumpers, a big variety of new craft micro cans and other assorted cans.
Really psyched and looking forward to being there! -Billy

Bryan, Keith, Clayton, anyone else at the show, I need that beer boot for my noncompetitive display of CANvention items in 2020, in St Louis. Can someone buy it for me at $5.00 and I'll figure out how to get it back to Baltimore. Maryland guys are going to Omaha, so that could be the way home for it.
Thanks for thinking about me. If anything else CANvention related turns up, please let me know.

Re: Post your pictures and highlights from the 2018 Summerswap show here.
Raining when I left the house this morning. Went through a couple downpours. Once past Flint, dry roads all the way. No outside vendors seen, so grabbed my walker and headed in. Good turnout given iffy weather, but it was inside the hall. Told John Fatura it might be time to start looking for bigger venue. Shows are getting bigger and better every year!
It was good to see a lot of the regulars. Have to congratulate the Mid-Michigan and Rusty Bunch Chapters for another outstanding effort and job well done. This is one of several I try not to miss.
In keeping with my collecting niche, variety, I was able to ad these cans.

Edski, Don't remember seeing you there? If you want a bigger Venue I think Heritage Park would be big enough to hold the crowd. I only picked up 1 can. A nice clean NORTH STAR flat top from Detroit Michigan. Picked up a Goebel Beer Box & 1 pre prohibition copper Tivoli drinking mug. Pics below. LEON.

Re: Post your pictures and highlights from the 2018 Summerswap show here.
Here are some more pictures from the show.
Setting started early Thursday afternoon.
Tom drove up from Tennessee but Mary was unable to join him.
Side trip to Midland for a Minor League baseball game on Thursday evening.
My stuff outside on Friday morning. The threat of rain kept most people from setting up outside. As it turns out, Friday was 99% dry and Saturday the rain was light and infrequent. Any hope for helping our brown lawns was unrealized.
We had two raffles. One each day.
Tony paying for his hospitality. Nobody walks away from this show hungry or thirsty. There is always something available.
Chapter display right by the front door for all to see. The free BCCA magazines were very popular. Maybe those will lead to new memberships.
Breakfast on Friday. Saturday was similar but included sausage also.
Bill Norton's stuff.
Closeup of some of Bill Norton's stuff.

Thanks, I am more than happy to do it. I know people like to see what is happening at shows they cannot attend. It was good to see you at the show.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

We have plenty of room for outside set-up, just waiting for the weather to cooperate and allow this to take place. At least the show went on rain or shine because of our inside venue.Leon wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 9:02 pm Edski, Don't remember seeing you there? If you want a bigger Venue I think Heritage Park would be big enough to hold the crowd. I only picked up 1 can. A nice clean NORTH STAR flat top from Detroit Michigan. Picked up a Goebel Beer Box & 1 pre prohibition copper Tivoli drinking mug. Pics below. LEON.

Yes, I originally planned to set up outside but didn't round up the 3 tables I was looking for. Plus need about 100 empty cardboard cases for all my dumpers & really don't have any. I'm just unprepared but I got a whole year to get prepared. Clayton you do a great job of hosting a show. LEON.
