CANvention Item needed

#1

Post by Baxter »

During a recent flood, my 2009 Reisch Gold Top CANvention bottle was damaged. Does any one have one they would sell or know someone that has one available.

BCCA877, see avitar to right, or send a pm.

If you have other CANvention items that you would part with, please let me know what's available.

Thanks, Baxter

Ray (Baxter) recently had about 37 inches of water in his basement and "had" , "has" the #1 collection of BCCA Canvention items, Olde Frothingslosh, etc. if you can part with anything unusual, I'm sure he would appreciate the help!!

Leon, I can feel your pain. Just 1 item lost, is too much.

Dan, Thanks for your comment.

Here's some pictures of during and after.

Cardboard posters, agendas and place mats do not play nice with water. Also all 10 autographed Miss BCCA framed pictures were lost. That's where most of my lost items occurred. Plus the Reisch bottle and the 1997 Atlanta cook book.

I was able to move the trophies, center pieces, and a lot of the other pieces up into the kitchen, until the water was waist deep.

Holy guacamole!! Ray, was that just from the recent heavy rains or did something else happen? With that much water, it's amazing that you didn't lose more, although any loss is painful. Best thoughts to you.

Mike, To answer your question, 10" of rain in an hour, flooding was all rain run off. Pics below: left side of house, front yard, right side down driveway, back yard, exterior stairwell - full (notice door forced a bit).

Wow, That's a real Bummer. Luckily mine never got that deep but others nearby in Detroit area have had it as bad as that. Yes, Anything made of paper or cardboard like signs or posters do not like water & soak it up like a sponge. lost many signs ect, ect. LEON.
