That would be a lot of cans to haul up!

There's about 30-40 (maybe more) foreign gallons from the 70s...is there any of them that could be rare? They are a serious space eater!
The British party size gallon cans tend to sell. I know I have been looking or a while for a Carling Black Label "Fuller Flavor" Party can from Englad for a decent price. i also have been looking forTuborg gallons. Once again...may be a market even for your galloons.

There's at least 3 or 4 of them! I don't know if they are different or not. What are they worth?

One half of the pile is now sorted and gone (off Dale's property)...just have the one trailer full to still deal with now.

0420181707a.jpg
This pile of boxes are all the foreign cans.... Dan went to go get them today. He said he was going to leave the gallons behind... UGH!

Even if the fire danger is still high in NM, Ed, Dwayne and I will haul some back to Colorado. We got some desperately needed moisture the last 2 days. Fire bans have been lifted. We can blast them at our place.

I don't know how much the Stern gallon is worth. I had one back in the 70's. I remember it was black and yellow. How about $10 plus shipping? That is if it's not shot up!

Didn't the Senator sell a crap ton of the big foreign cans on ebay over the last year?

Maybe he could provide some input.

Before....

dales.jpg
Current.....

95% of these cans are doubles although there are apple boxes full of the "easy" tabs. But what we are finding out is, there's money in those easy tabs. Some of the aluminum is selling more than fairly decent dumpers! There may have been a collecting gap back in the 1990s to now where not many people saved the newer cans back then. One of the nice things about all these cans is that almost all of them are bottom opened.

All the flats and cones of this collection were the first thing we put into totes and are at Dan's house. We haven't really gotten into much of these yet. It has been a ton of work but also a lot of fun....

The fuller flavour 4 pint is a really tough can. Ive seen one faded one and one nice one. It is an earlier style my guess would be around 1968.Tom Hoffman

Some guy in Sweden had me help him buy a "Hansa" gallon from the early 80s (one of those Fass Frisch ones with the ribs all around the last inch of each end) on ebay. He told me to bid up to $70 for it but I got it for like $15.95 and he paid about $35 for priority post to send it to him. No clue but he was super happy about getting it.
I dump cans and cars, if you find old cars & trucks while dumping, please let me know.

No rain to speak of.... the only moisture we get is when I wash my car, then it will instantly drizzle enough to get it wet, then a dust-devil comes and blows dirt all over it... all in about 60 seconds and then its gone....we call this a "mudder."

The wet monsoon Dallas - Fort Worth spring has ended a little earlier than normal this year. We have been dry and in the 90's for the past two weeks. We are scheduled to break 100 today.

We usually don't start seeing triple digits until late June or early July.

The can on the right is the new one...doesn't have draught beer flavor....not in the book ( the one in the book is SOFT top not Aluminum Top).........I pulled it out of the pile, it was badly dented, Handed over to Dale and he had it straightened in 5 minutes. Was going to put it on eBay but compared to shelfer and saw the difference, Made my day!.....lots of surprises in this collection!

Given the volume of cans you are dealing with, it is great luck you even noticed this. I can't help but wonder how many variations will fly under the radar.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

2023 Shows Attended

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana
