Something amiss with attachments

Not sure what's wrong yet, but photos seem to disappear in the editor and stuff. You get "attachment no longer available" right after it's uploaded. Now I know what my weekend will be all about :smt024

That was just happening to me. Any chance when you're messing about you could figure out why my pictures and others come out sideways?

I'll try to figure out why others are coming out sideways, but not yours.

Don't want to mess up your post, but do another, then go to edit and see if al attachments are in the editor, then see if they disappear from the post.

Yea....finally upgraded my Iron City....pretty sweet, indoor, on-grade can. Just not saying what grade it's on. :-)

@idigrust
Yes I went to do some editing in the soda can archive, under the Third Generation Wave Designs 1970-1985...post #5
It placed the photo I added in the wrong spot, rearranged the others, and I think some may be missing now. In the editor when I added the new photo it showed only one other photo but showed it was not added, ..when in reality it was. the editor should have shown 7-8 photos.
Kind of messed up in there.

I was having issues yesterday with attaching pics to an email...it would only do one at a time.

I believe it has something to do with the size of the file. Try to keep it under 1mb.

I had issues with my Red Blatz Can post. I attached 3 PDF's. Did a preview. Went down to edit mistake in wording and saw that only one PDF was shown in the editing window. So I hit preview again and sure enough only 1 PDF was showing. Back to edit and added the two missing PDF's. Hit preview and they were there. Rolled back to the editing window and only 1 was there. Again I added the missing two and this time instead of preview, I hit submit. They were there. Don't know if that helps or confuses...

Without factoring in the sideways posting of pics, to me anyway, there are two attachment posting mechanics at work. Used to be, I could post multiple pictures, add text to each, etc. After the major update crash and fix, I for one, can post multiple pics but can't add text in between. All the pics seem to be locked in a"box". All the editing functions are selectable but rather than display that function in a preview, they display the wording for that function only like this:

"The can of the year is:

I tried to Bold and Italicize the word "is". This is how it looks in both the Preview and in the Edit window. I've noticed this with some other posters. I remember when I posted pics from last year's Toledo or Summerswap shows, they were posted in reverse order of the way they were attached. So now, whatever pic I want to display first, I make sure it's the last one added. This holds true for whatever I'm attaching, pictures or files. I'm adding two pics. I put text between them. It shows in the edit window but not in the Preview or Submit functions.

Adding text here.

I just hit preview...second pic disappeared. Will re-add the pic and submit this time. Hope any of this helps!

Thanks Ed @MI-Cans , that's what happen to me also. I'll work on it tonight if I can, have stuff to do this afternoon. You'll know when I'm working on it because all the addons will be disabled leaving only the forum posts, then one by one I'll add them back checking the attachments until I find which one is conflicting.

@idigrust

Dan this is what I have on the editor...shows attachments unavailable, they are in the correct spots here, then once submitted they are all in the wrong places...and not showing in the attachment list.

Do I have to resubmit all the photos?
