Unknown Paradise Club Flat Top
Here is a ratty Paradise Club FLAT TOP that I found about 20 years ago. I have found many of the cool PC cone tops but only once have I found the flat. There were 2 in the dump (I may still have the second one, but it obviously wont be in very good shape).
I don't see the PC flat in the Soda Book. Does anyone else have this can? As far as I can tell it looks just like the CT. The lid shows Cammarano Bros from Tacoma - like other FT's of the era.

Interesting. Since most soda collectors don't like rusty dumpers I'd be interested in the other one if you find it? LEON.

Re: Unknown Paradise Club Flat Top
Wow Leon,
That is an amazing can! Never heard of it or seen one. If you find the other, please post that otherwise, that one is it!
Is the height correct for a flat or is it the height of a cone? Also, is there a flavor listed on the lid?
Thanks,
Dave T

Yes, it's a real FT and shows the flavor (ORANGE SODA) on the lid. I would sure like to find more of them.dtsoc wrote:Wow Leon,

Yes, the flavors are on the crowns. I don't have any Paradise Club crowns in my collection, but I have seen a few.Leon wrote:Where's the Flavor on the cones, Don't see it on mine, Did they put it on cap/crown? Carl, Did I get this cone from you? Maybe Scott? LEON.

Re: Unknown Paradise Club Flat Top
Hi Carl,
Any chance you could post a scan of the lid? I would love to include this in the next book edition.
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Unknown Paradise Club Flat Top
Here is the lid. You can't read the 'Cammarano Bros' around the outer ring of the lid, but you can see the flavor pretty clear.

Carl:
I remember you telling me about that can, glad to see you were able to dredge it up. That is pretty typical condition for a PC dumper. Good thing you hung onto it and did not toss it back. Those really don't hold up well for some reason. Carl and I dumped around a case of PC cones a couple years ago but only a few were worth keeping and even those were not that good. You must have gotten yours somewhere else Leon. Meanwhile many of the other cans in the same pit came out in pretty good shape.
If somebody needs a PC cone and does not care too much about condition, send me or Carl a PM and we can probably set you up. Postage and a couple bucks is all it will cost.

Re: Unknown Paradise Club Flat Top
I have been cleaning out the garage and I finally uncovered the second Paradise Club flat top! It is also 'Orange Soda'. It is available for the '2 of a kind' price of $10 plus shipping. I think more of the rust can come off plus someone can try to straighten the dents.

Re: Unknown Paradise Club Flat Top
hey there, i found a glass paradise club bottle in the dechutes river while fishing last week. i have been trying to research the glass bottles online and have only seen the 'cone tops'. just wondering if anybody out there knows anything about the glass bottle, its worth, its age (ive seen that PC was around in the 1950s?), and any other cool factoids. id love to hear from anybody about it!

Re: Unknown Paradise Club Flat Top
Hey, I assume the PC bottle you found is an Applied Color Label (ACL). I have seen a few of those and I don't think they have near the value of the cans. All were mid 1950's vintage. In case you did not know, Paradise Club was produced in Tacoma by Cammarano Brothers. They did other soda labels from the 30's through 60's.nthnchrchs wrote:hey there, i found a glass paradise club bottle in the dechutes river while fishing last week. i have been trying to research the glass bottles online and have only seen the 'cone tops'. just wondering if anybody out there knows anything about the glass bottle, its worth, its age (ive seen that PC was around in the 1950s?), and any other cool factoids. id love to hear from anybody about it!
Can you post a picture of the bottle?
