Old Walters and Hamms Outdoor signs, neons
Came across this old treasure trove recently. Felt like I needed Mike and Frankie to help me pick them, and then Rick to help me restore them... Anyone know anything about how hard it would be to restore the neons and repair these old gems?

Re: Old Walters and Hamms Outdoor signs, neons
OK, I can give you my feedback from my dealing with Rick's restoration to restore the Croft clock. First, he's expensive, so be prepared for some sticker shock. You can get an estimate of cost by visiting his web site (search for Rick's Restoration). Some where there's a place where you can email him and give a description and a few pictures and they'll get back to you with an estimate. His son told me they cannot restore porcelain over tin signs, so if that what your sign is, you're outta luck. He has a long list of customers, so it may take up to a year before they can do the restoration, so patience is required on your part. Depending on the work needed to be done on your item, you might get it faster. You'll be required to pay half of the cost when you drop it off, and the balance when you pick it up. Of course you could send it to him and then come and pick it up at the Las Vegas show next April. The show is held at the Palace Station resort in Vegas, just one exit south of where Rick's restoration is located. The pawn stars store is just a few blocks beyond that. That way you get your sign restored, meet Rick & Kelly in person, and go to a great beer show all at the same time!

Thanks John. I was joking about Rick's restoration. I was wondering if any of the brewerania experts on the Rusty Bunch site would know about restoring old neon signs, etc. Would really be nice if there was someone in the Colorado area that could help rather than having to ship them across the country...

Looks like there is a big Schlitz sign around the corner as well.
