Re: Western Canadian Soft Drink Conference Bottles
November was a great Month for finding bottles and I managed to track down 3 bottles from one fellow in Saskatchewan!...took a little work to make a deal but it was worth it.
I thought there was only 10 bottles in the series but got a nice suprise when they arrived ...the 11th bottle is from 1983 Saskatoon, Sask. (the clear one)
There is no bottle listed for 1978?....I've never seen it or know anything about it.
So I now have 5 of the 11 bottles known to exsist and the hunt continues

Re: Western Canadian Soft Drink Association-Conference Bottl
I've just picked up a case of these bottles, was doing some research to sell them on eBay and found your forum. There are several years included, let me know what years you're looking for and I'll see if I have them.
I'm in Oshawa, near Toronto Ontario.
Not sure how to add pictures but if someone can direct me I'd appreciate it.

Re: Western Canadian Soft Drink Association-Conference Bottl
So this is good news as I can now confirm that there is a 1978 bottle, I figured there was as the list I retrieved from the internet was an old outdated post and only had bottles 1972-1982 with no 1978...10 bottles. Then I found the 1983 Saskatoon bottle (11th)...which is now the 12th bottle. Add in the 84,85,86 bottles makes it 1972-1986...15 bottles.
Correction note: the 1986 that lovesilver has is not part of this series, so to date the known years are 1972-1985...14 bottles.

Re: Western Canadian Soft Drink Association-Conference Bottl
Here's the 1985 and 1986 bottles. The 1986 (green one) doesn't say anything about the conference, so I don't think it's part of the same grouping. It has Crush, Pepsi, 7Up, etc bottlecaps painted on it, along with Gray Beverage, and has Edmonton Alberta 1986 under the blue and white graphic on the bottle.

Re: Western Canadian Soft Drink Association Sept 2014 updat
What is the Deal and yet another bottle bottle added this week This time It's the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan 1975 bottle!
How the heck does that happen?...in just over a years time I went from 1 bottle that I got 11 years ago to almost the whole series! Guess I've been hunting pretty hard or have just been darn lucky
So now all I need is the two remaining bottles, I'm missing 'Calgary 1972' and 'Winnipeg 1974".....wish me luck!, possible I could find them before the year is out .

Re: Western Canadian Soft Drink Association Sept 2014 updat
Well I got them all lined up now Still looking for two bottles to fill those empty spaces...missing is the Calgary, Alberta 1972....and the Winnipeg, Manitoba 1974.
The Canadian Soft Drink Association was named in 1969 from it's former name Canadian Bottlers of Carbonated Beverages. So it is possible bottles exist prior to 1972 and maybe there are a few from after 1985...I've seen none to this date.

CBA COMPANY HISTORY
In 1940, there were more than 500 independent bottlers of soft drinks in Canada. In this tough pre-war economy, gasoline and tires, vital for the delivery of beverages, were severely rationed. Glass was in short supply. Regulated quotas of sugar caused serious production problems and high taxes were hurting the industry. It was this business climate that provided the impetus for these competitors to begin discussions on forming an association for the benefit of the entire industry. And so, in 1942, the Canadian Bottlers of Carbonated Beverages (CBCB) was created.
The industry thrived for the next 25 years and the CBCB was then renamed the Canadian Soft Drink Association in 1969.
Continued volume growth and prosperity was accompanied by consolidation, packaging innovation and the inevitable regulatory changes which necessitated a major overhaul of the Association's focus and strategic agenda.
In 2001, the CSDA was renamed Refreshments Canada and was launched with a new structure, staff, board of directors, mandate, objectives and strategic focus.
Finally, in January 2011, Refreshments Canada was renamed the Canadian Beverage Association (CBA).
The Canadian Beverage Association is now the national industry association that represents the broad spectrum of companies that manufacture and distribute the majority of non-alcoholic refreshment beverages consumed in Canada.
The association represents more than 60 brands of juices, juice drinks, bottled waters, sports drinks, ready-to-serve iced teas and coffees, new-alternative beverages, carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks, and other non-alcoholic beverages.

Re: Western Canadian Soft Drink Association Jan.2015 update
A recent ebay search revealed to me a new bottle I missed!.....I passed on the opportunity to get this bottle last summer for $5 bucks assuming it was just a slight variation of the Edmonton 1976 bottle.
whoops!!!...turns out it is from the 1987 convention in Edmonton, it resembles most of the 1976 one but has the Gray logo on the front and Safeway on the back instead of the glass plants. There is some rearrangement on the front with possibly something new added but the pictures were not clear to know exactly what they are.
So that means there are now bottles from the years 1972-1987......but wait what about the 1986 bottle then?.......guess what?...I have never seen it!
This it the front of the 1976 and the front and back of the 1987 Edit note on this bottle( Feb.26/2016), I may have overlooked the fact that this bottle says Safeway Merchandising, So at this juncture I now have to assume that this is not really part of the WCSDA series.

Re: Western Canadian Soft Drink Association Feb. 2016 updat
Today was bitter sweet as I believe I've now completed my set! It has taken almost the last three years of really seriously hunting for them, this had been a quest since 1995 when I found the first one, the Regina Sask. from 1979....Regina happens to be my birth place and the bottle features a Canadian Mountie! ( for my USA friends that don't know what that is, and yes I've been asked a lot!, RCMP Royal Canadian Mounted Police...which my wife also happens to be, and I'm very dam proud of her!
I still have a few miscellaneous bottles to hunt for commemorating events and look forward to finding them.
This is the last two I needed, 1972 Calgary, and 1974 Winnipeg. look at the amazing detail on the 74 Winnipeg bottle!....you can see it's a map of the old city quarter in the background , difficult to see at first because it's all in white. And the complete set from 1972-1985.....14 of the most amazing ACL bottles I've ever had the pleasure of having
