The Myrtle Beach Air Show is this weekend and the Blue Angels have been practicing right over my house for their performances this week end. Fun just to stand in the driveway and watch. When they come directly over the house with after burners on it is incredible. We are right by the airport and in line with their run in for their tricks.

I love the big iron, what else would ex AF like. Seen the Angels, Birds and Canadians many times over the years. One of them is usually at the Air Races.

Very cool! One thing about living so close the the Air Foce Academy is the aircraft that flies over. Back in early March saw a U2 spy plane, followed by a B1 about a half hour later. Today it was 2 F-35's. Last week a couple of A-10 Warthogs.

I'm close to the Bristol motor speedway so we get to see them from the side of the mountain we live on. It's super cool to see them go off in the distance what must be a couple hundred miles? Then circle back in what seems like just a couple minutes. Nothin to obstruct the view so you can watch them the entire way it's really cool then the afterburners!!! Really gets the adrenaline rolling!

I was at Boeing's "Family Day" in St. Louis last weekend. There was a time when Family Day included a full fledged air show. When I went to my first Family Day five years ago, it was still a HUGE event even without the air show. This year's event showed further cutting back but it was still a cool event. I saw the production process for a F-15 from start to finish. I saw the same for the F-18. I saw a variety of bombs and missiles but not the production area. Boeing has two prototype fighter jets intended for training called the T-X. Only two exist right now and I saw both of them plus I spoke to one of the test pilots. All in all, it was a great day even if the event is smaller than it used to be.

With the Air Force graduation Wednesday, I saw this B2 doing flyovers today for their dress parade. Americas UFO!
