Please vote for my menu suggestion

#1

Post by pinnacle-project »

As you all may know, I am a big fan of the West Michigan Whitecaps. They are a single A minor league baseball team for the Detroit Tigers.

Each year, they ask fans to suggest a new item for the concessions menu. They narrow down the suggestions to ten choices and then people vote to see what will be served this season. My suggestion is a finalist this year. Please go to the following link and vote for Beercheese Poutine.

http://www.milb.com/content/page.jsp?ym ... t582&vkey=

Voting is simple and only takes a few seconds.

Thanks.

Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Vote cast! But I figure you're gonna face stiff competition from the Coitus Dog.

I've been to see the Whitecaps some years ago -- had a good time.

vote made for the Poutine. Looks like the greatest concession stand food anyone has ever seen. All the choices should be offered.

Not only do I like the Whitecaps, I am a fan of minor league baseball in general. I think I have visited 15 stadiums so far. I expect stadiums to have the standard favorites but I always appreciate when they have something a little more unique. For example, last summer I saw the Lakeland Flying Tigers play the Port St. Lucie Mets in Port St. Lucie. Apparently, there is an above average number of Jews living in the area so along with all the normal concession food they also had a Jewish dessert (I can't remember the name). Unfortunately, they were all out the night I was there but I still appreciated that it was something they normally carried. I am biased of course but I think the Whitecaps have a better concession selection than most teams.

I voted for 'ya, although a hotdog with both Mac & Cheese AND bacon almost seduced me away. And the corn dog with the onion rings looked positively pornographic.

I voted again today and I noticed the unfortunate ad placement on the side of the ballot. Made me laugh

The fried gum can't win. It would be a nightmare scraping it off the bottom of the seats when the kids were done with it.

We have a single A team we go to see down here as well. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Beautiful park and a lot of fun. My wife insists on going on "Thirsty Thursdays" where it is $1 beer night every Thursday.
