Mike Watt was telling me Lemmy was at the studio during some point while Watt was mixing "Contemplating the Engine Room". He said he told Lemmy it was an opera and Lemmy said he was writing an opera too. Watt told him his opera was basically about 3 guys traveling in a van playing music. Watt said Lemmy proceeded to tell him all about his rock opera about WW2........
He said Lemmy did share his whiskey with him. I need to find out which record that was. RIP

I met Lemmy a few times at the Rainbow on Sunset Blvd. He was pretty much always there in the early 90's and I heard he still hung out there more recently. RIP, Ace of Spades.

RIP Lemmy. I loved that band. Glad I got to see them a couple times over the years. Been listening to a ton of Motorhead here over the last few days. Earlier in the month when their original drummer Phil Taylor died I had been playing a lot of Motorhead.
