There was an outfit in Denver that catered to busy people with dogs. They'd clean yards for a weekly rate. They were called P o o p Van Scoop and they had two catchphrases: "We pick up where your dog left off," and "We're number one in the number two business." I always thought it was cute.

Not exactly real company slogans, but did anybody else get a kick out of the Topps Wacky Packs series? My granddad in Chicagoland used to save them for me in the mid 70s - I think they came in Wonder Bread packages or something. They always cracked me up. Here are a few of the many they made. The Neveready battery is my all-time favorite, with that scraggly cat lurching through a big zero.

I worked for a father & son outfit laying carpeting and linoleum when I was in high school. Their logo was "Sayer & Sons Flooring......We Lay Anything!". After meeting some of the sons girlfriends, I was convinced the slogan was absolutely true.

I still remember, almost 60 years later, either MAD or CRACKED magazine had an ad for BABY ROT made with Assorted Mouse Droppings. Never became a fan of BABY RUTH.

I loved Wacky Packs back in the day. If you had them all you could turn them over and the backs of each piece had part of a picture on it like a puzzle............

Driving through the city of Salida CO back in the 80's & saw an outdoor sign for Peak Radiator Repair. Their slogan on the sign was "A Great Place To Take A Leak".

There used to be a hotdog stand in Chicago called Eat It & Beat It

There still is a demolition company here called Hansons
"Don't break your balls, use Hansons"

I worked at Beaver Creek ski resort in Colorado a few years, you got your booze at Beaver Liquors "The worlds most photographed liquor store". They did radio ads spoofing Leave It To Beaver and some were pretty damn funny

And finally my parents owned a day care center from the 60's until about 1985 called Gay-Time Nursery School. we had about a half dozen Ford Econoline vans from that era at any given time. 2 or 3 on our driveway at night Drivers got to take theirs home if they had a spot for it, the neghborhood got too rough to leave them there overnight.
Imagine being 16 and your first "car" was a rusted out school bus yellow van modified for little kids with "GAY-TIME" across each side in giant children's building block lettering.....AND you were attending an all boys Catholic high school (Fenwick, as in "There are no stairs at Fenwick high, cuz all the fairies know how to fly". Don't even get me started on the fact that required swimming in gym class was naked....
Hooper: "That's a 20 footer!"
Quint: "Twenty-five. Three tons of him, eat a man whole."
