My buddy Rich and I fished the low country of Charleston South Carolina this past week. It was a little cold and very windy, but our guide worked his tail off and we managed several nice redfish. Rich even got a big trout and black drum.

Hello Chuck!
Trout are artificial only until May- rooster tail spinners.
Walleyes are all on live bait, fished incredibly slow just off the bottom- they love perch Rapalas until it gets cold. Ziphippie

Fish won't move very far or fast for a meal in cold water. Slow is the way to go. I have a saying for fishing cold water down here. "Fish it slow, and when you think you are working it slow, work it slower."

another Wisconsin doubleheader! with temps in the 30’s, might as well hit open water. Been fishing this creek for 42+ years with Fiore (pronounced: Fee-Ore) yep that’s right.... Fiore and Bjorn(pronounced: Bee-Orn) we caught at least a dozen trout, this was the nicest.
