Official NASCAR Release NASCAR.com March 16, 2020 at 6:37 PM
“The health and safety of our fans, industry and the communities in which we race is our most important priority, so in accordance with recent CDC guidance, NASCAR is currently postponing all race events through May 3rd, with plans to return racing in Martinsville. We appreciate the patience of our fans and we look forward to returning to the race track. We intend to hold all 36 races this season, with future rescheduling soon to be determined as we continue to monitor this situation closely with public health officials and medical experts. What is important now transcends the world of sports and our focus is on everyone’s safety and well-being as we navigate this challenging time together.”

That's interesting. The NASCAR off season is already very short. If they hold all 36 races, that will definitely result in challenges.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Yeah, they'll be able to double up a few times. Run those guys ragged.
The NASCAR administrative mindset of this date is still that they're going to make all their money. It may be that they can find a way to do it. But we see other sanctioning bodies clued in slowly to the idea that, no, we're gonna lose some dollars. The NCAA backed off that way -- a couple of steps. And already NASCAR's two-stepped it: run races with empty stands; no, postpone races. Bottom line, you do have a labor issue. The racers and crews aren't gonna want to run two races a weekend too many times. Or run till Christmas. Races are gonna get canceled, I believe.
We just gotta get this virus tamped down this year. We can't be doing this every spring.

It also -- this is fingers crossed we see this end this summer, may that come true -- is gonna be an interesting autumn, with postponed events from spring piling up in the fall, lining up against King Football.
Ordinarily you don't mess around on football's calendar turf. It will crush you. Like did you know that they actually play basketball before Christmas? And hockey? I just found out.

Also, I have never heard of a NASCAR racing venue EVER refunding your ticket purchases. Races are always "postponed" and never canceled. You can't make it to the make up race day?!?! Too bad.......
They delayed one of the Michigan races to a Tuesday about 5 years ago. I actually went to the make up and they just left the gates open and were not even collecting tickets. The first 50 laps were run under caution.
