One of a kind Gayla - Here is another one

Post by Scott »

Saw a listing in the latest soda pop newsletter about a previously undocumented Gayla. Here is another example of the same can. The newsletter mentioned that it was a pre-zip can with a pressure bead on the lid. Mine is the same. What is interesting is that I dug this out of a small pit that also included Gayla tabs. The cans were definitely buried all together at the same time since there were only 6-8 total cans in the pit. I can only surmise was likely a later run from old can stock.

Leon,

Can I use your pic of the Gayla Grape for the Can-O-Gram?

I'd also like to use your Uptown, but I was unable to copy it. Do you have it protected?
