Is that a 10 oz Dr. Pepper immediately next to the Upper 10 can?

Yes. All of the cans to the right of the Donald Duck cone tops are 10 ounce. As are all of the bottom row. I have made 10 ounce American cans one of my focuses.

Love the Donald Duck shelf with the figures. What is the monorail? Die-cast or ceramic? Looks really neat, just want to know a little more about it. Cool stuff.

The monorail is die cast. The diaphrams are a flexible plastic/rubber. I got it from Disneyland a couple of years ago.

Thanks, that is extemely neat. I will have to look for one. My son has the 1/24 and 1/64 Test Track cars around here somewhere. That monorail really caught my eye, along with your great soda cans.

What's the story on the '10 2 4' on the Dr Pepper cans? Was that part of some advertising campaign?

Dr Pepper is also a wild card poker game where 10s, 2s and 4s are wild. It's also a really, really bad situation when the bad guys are at your Dr Pepper (Viet Nam era slang, don't know if it's still used today but it's still bad).

It looks the it says frosty, man frosty on a couple of the Dr. Pepper cans. Wonder if there was a tie-in with Bill Haley's hit song Crazy Man Crazy?

Beamer, I dont think the Frosty is a Tie In with a song But I would think more likely has something to do with these popular recipe's LEON.

OK Dave, now that thud you just heard was MY jaw hitting the floor! Very impressive collection of odd sizes. Just curious on your 6 oz. Shastas, how low a grade will you go? We do find those cans out here from time to time, but we're diggers, so condition isn't exactly pristine. And they're always from Garden City KS.

That would make sense Leon. That Dr. Pepper frosty sounds kind of good. May have to try one.

Are you sure they are not from Garden City KS? If they are really from Hutchison KS, I would be interested in them in almost any condition.

You're right, my bad. Garden City is the correct answer. I shouldn't drink that much beer with dinner...

Re: Some pictures of my soda cans...
Wow, nice collectin Dave! I noticed a 6 oz Pabst Black Cherry. Up until seeing that, I had only known of the Cola coming in the 6 oz. Were all six flavors made in 6 oz?
Scott, nice grouping of 6 oz. Shastas. I have not been able to find any 6 oz. Shastas. Knowing they come from Kansas instead of San Francisco/Seattle like the larger cans, sheds a little light on the reason. Thanks for guys! Great information!!

Yes the 6 1/2 ounce Shasta's are tough to find, especially clean. Here are mine, all of the cans shown in the picture are bottled by Shasta including the Coca Cola and Vernor's

Re: Some pictures of my soda cans...
There was a total of 12 different flavors of the 6 1/2 ounce Shasta cans. Here is one of my favorite signs. Sorry for the poor picture quality. I do have all 12 of them pictured on my website which is shown below my signature, on the home page click the Shasta Link and then the 6 1/2 ounce cans link on the left.

Re: Some pictures of my soda cans...
Hey Pokey,
That is one of the only 6 oz real cans I have seen from Pabst. They did make them in all 6 flavors, but there are two variations of each. I don't know if they all exist today... Here are two other flat sheets that I have: Notice the two different wordings for contents line.
I have seen 2 other cola cans, but no other actual cans. Does anyone have any other sightings of real cans?

Dave,
I notice that you have a different version of "Non-Fattening" Pabst than the style that I have. In what flavors were both styles made and which came first?

Hey Pokey,
The non-fattening can with the female figures come in black cherry, cola, two different gingers and a rootbeer. They are all very tough cans to find.
Best of luck,
