Help,What’s the story on these Coke cans?

#1

Post by DanielinAk »

So I’m changing out cans and putting upgraded cans up.
So with these two coke cans you can see my new upgrade is by far better, but I noticed the “Reg U.S. Pat Off” font is different on each can and turning it around even the back panels are different.
Is it my understanding that the Alaska Test can is there one on the left and what would the right can be?
The Coca-cola vanity lid belongs to the left can from Anchorage and the right can’s vanity lid is the Fairbanks lid.
I think I may have to go through all my coke cans and see what variations there are.ImageImageImageImage

Sometimes the cans are made by different canners. So one may be a CCC can and the other may be a Mira or a national can bottom line if made at different plants they may be slightly different. I have several
Cans like that.
Interested in all flat and Cone Soda and Water cans.

The can on the right was tested nationwide in 1956. The Alaska test was likely the year before. It has the same lid as the two export cans.
I collect one flavor of rare soda can generations. Also publish Collectible Soda Cans - don't hesitate to contact me with cans you have available or questions about old soda cans.
