Big Giant Cherry Cola found during house rebuilding project

#1

Post by dtsoc »

A single can was found in Denton, Texas during a house remodel. Pretty amazing can! I'm hoping it will clean up quite a bit when it arrives next week. Love the advertising lid - I don't know if the other examples have this or not. Anyone seen it before?
Based on the lids and the large MiraCan logo, I'm thinking this is a late 50's can, not an early 60's like the book lists. Any opinions?

A QUICK DIP IN OXY BATH WILL CLEAN IT GOOD. OR USE THE FLITZ. leon.

Do a search for Flitz on this site and you can read about it.

It's like a wax but a bit more abrasive. I have been using it ever Barry first brought it up. Good stuff.

I would also recommend getting some oxalic. It is far more forgiving than citric.
