Found this on Ebay - not a buy-it-now or a short duration sale. It ran it's seven days with only two bidders! Everyone missed this one! It was an R0 previously, with the first example in pretty rough shape. I have been looking for a pre-zip Barq's can for years and finally found a very nice one! This one is a silver juice tab, rather than the flat found on the other example.

Dave,

I'm curious as to whether or not this shows the flavor somewhere on the can, assuming they filled something other than Root Beer. When I found the other example that you mentioned, it was a flat top and I was thinking that it might have the flavors imprinted on top similar to the Handi-Cans or IGA's. The top was too rusty to tell. FWIW, the flat appears to be a few years earlier than your juice tab. It has the half round bead on the top.

Intersting - no flavor info. The bottom is a slopped silver lid with LA tax info - dates to about 1965. Sounds like your can is earlier - is it a Miracan as well?
