Can-A-Pop

#1

Post by Canadacan »

I recently came across this information and wanted to share it for those with any interest.
It appears Can-A-Pop was being canned and sold already in 1953! The Collectable Soda Cans guide has it at 1954, which is the year they fully expanded their advertising, but never the less it was already being sold in 1953 in 5 states...Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington....and believe it or not I purely by fluke located a Canadian store in Lethbridge, Alberta that also had it for sale in 53.

Great research! I know American Can Co (MiraCan) produced the Can-O-Pop cans in Seattle. We found some in the Wind Tunnel find.

I think it was quite popular when it first appeared here in CO. We dig those early cans alot. Finding the ones from Denver is a bonus.
