Coffee Drink Can

#1

Post by Tinman »

I picked up this cool looking can at an antique mall before Christmas and I believe that it's a coffee drink from Japan.

The only wording I can read is "1981" and "1982".

Anyone able to translate?... I'll assume that it would be considered an energy drink??

Not sure but it looks like the American flag on the front?

looks from the 1st picture, it might be an advertising/commemorative can for something ( on the lower right corner ,but couldn't see clear) .
Pic 2 has a mark under the Recycling circle , says スチール means STEEL (CAN) , which could date it is from 70's ~80's , since it might promote something :smt017 in 1981? so could be a 80's can.
it is a coffee drink, produced by Ueshima 上島 coffee company.
Glad to see Japanese Steel cans , and would be pleasure to help in anytime.

Yes, Michael. I think your ASC can are from 2 different brand. there are a few variable japan brands that producing ASC. by the way DYDO has many retro animi pattern cans in set in last couple years.

some of JP steel 250ml cans are too tough to get... similar price as contemporary coke cans
