Mission Orange cone top

#1

Post by Canadacan »

Just picked up these two cones today
I noticed that the Mission Cola is listed as Vancouver BC, this Orange is Toronto.. like the book... Dose anyone know of other variations?... Cola with Toronto and Orange with Vancouver. I see there is a Ginger ale... But the city is not listed.

Thanks Dave!.... Yea your right again...very solid cans, but a little toasty on the other face, price was fair though I think.
So no variations on the Missions that we know of. Say dose your Lucky Strike Orange have the contents statement?... I noticed that my Ginger Ale and Lemon do not have it.

I have a Lucky Strike Cola, Ginger Ale, and Crème Soda. All have the contents at the bottom on the label right of the seam. Looks just like your Orange has them the same as mine.

I also have the Mission Ginger Ale, it is Vancouver

Nice cans by the way. They should clean up nicely.
I shall leave no cone unturned!!

Yea I've seen that seller with them before Leon.
Thanks Conehead, so its probably safe to assume all the Lucky Strike's come in both variations, my Ginger Ale has no contents on the seam. Huh so your Mission GA is Vancouver!... Cool!... Possible that the orange comes in a Vancouver variation as well. Could you please post a pic of your Mission GA? :smt026

Sounds like you misunderstood what I said on the contents on the Lucky Strikes. Contents bottom of the label that is right of the seam. Here are pics.

Yea I guess I did!.... It was late...lol. Thanks for posting, have not been able to see one up close before. Do the Mission cones hold much value in dumper condition?... It's hard to determine a value as they seldom ever show up.
I had to part with $50 bucks to get my example.

Not sure on how well dumper soda cones do in general. I'm pretty new to collecting these. I currently only have about 70 soda cones so I still need many. Just like beer cones, many just never show up in any condition, so I grab em when I can. $50 for you Mission orange sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Wow that's impressive Jim!... considering there is only approximately 250 soda cones out there, of course maybe more with variations not noted.
