Alaska test can???

#1

Post by DanielinAk »

I see the C940-1 is a Hayward, Calif can, is that strictly from Calif? And I notice the C940-2B is the same can but called an Alaska test can. So I take it mine is the C940-2B? And am I assuming correctly that means Coke sent can's up here in 1959? Or could the C 940-1 can's can say Anchorage on them?

I don't think the C940-1 ever said Alaska or Anchorage on them. They did say "Prepared for EXPORT ONLY" near seam though. You won't see that on a Alaskan Coke. LEON.

Not sure, all a matter of opinion & opinions vary. Just a tough can is all I know. I've seen a couple though. LEON.

You got the Rainiers now just need to knock Apex & Canadian (big 12 oz) Coke off you list. I think most Canadian Cokes & Soda's are 10 oz usually. LEON.

Leon's right the Canadian 12oz banner is tough....They do show up several times a year on ebay, now how rare are they IMHO?....not that rare, yes they are a little bit tougher to find than the one without the banner but coke was king!, and they sold a ton of their product so it seem those cans show up the most out of all the Canadian 12 oz cans.
Of the these Canadian 12oz cans the easiest to find are the Cokes from what I've observed over the last 3 years.

I'm not sure if you'll ever dump any Canadian 12oz cans up there...but never say never!
