When you folks are dumping, or have some laying around, I am interested in purchasing any 2 gallon oil cans you may find. They are rectangular, and usually say 2 gallons or 8 quarts on them. I pay big money for rare cans.

Fairly common can, which I already have, but this is what I like to see! I any of you can come up with cans like that, only more unusual ones, that would be great!

What brands are you looking for?

Really, any strange ones that are uncommon. There were so many 1000s of small, regional oil companies,that,like beer companies, produced very few cans. I have about 600 2 gallons in my collection, so I have all the common ones, and am now looking for the rarer, regional companies. So if you find a 2 gallon that is from a local company that few have heard of, chances are its rare, and I don't have one yet.

I love oil or automotive stuff.......my meager collection in the garage. My favorite is the United Associates Oil can.....great color.....AND it has 100% Lubrication Oil in it!! Unlike other motor oils which were filled with rocks and sand and such.........

That United is a very nice can. Very rare.
