Milwaukee Club Bulb Top Cone Tops

#1

I'm with you Eric in the fact that I was never quite sure what was going on with USBC #174-1,2,3. Agreed, the omission of IRTP was an error on #174-3. Bulb tops were all pre war. I have continually flipped these cans looking for differences. This is what I have found.

There are 2 mandatory differences, with "Brewed and Packaged by" and without before "Schlitz Brewing Company Milwaukee, Wis." the without variations are the older of these.

The without "Brewed and Packaged by" also comes with 2 different N.Y. sales addresses, "246 Fifth Avenue" & "22 West First Street"

With "Brewed and Packaged by" only comes with the "22 West First Street".

I have also documented some seam variations but that is pretty minor for most collectors.

As far as color variations go, I pretty much disregard them, there is just to many variable that can affect it. I think I would have 20 different cans if I recorded all the color variations.

to recap, I have documented 5 variations:
Mandatory: "Schlitz Brewing Company Milwaukee, Wis."
1. no N.Y sales address
2. "246 Fifth Avenue"
3. "22 West First Street"

Mandatory: Brewed and Packaged by Schlitz Brewing Company Milwaukee, Wis."
4. no N.Y. sales address
5. "22 West First Street"

NOT FOR SALE
