Re: PRIZES: 2018 NASCAR Pick A Winner
The biggest loser prize actually looks pretty cool. I would have expected it to be something like a lidless Olympia from the wind tunnel find. Thanks for donating it Chris.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.
2023 Shows Attended
* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana
* Buckeye, March 11, Toledo Ohio

I think it will take more skill to try to hit a 20th place average than picking a winner every race....it'll be interesting.
....and yes that is a GREAT can donated by Chris!!

Re: PRIZES: 2018 NASCAR Pick A Winner
Maybe if I TRY to be the biggest loser, I might actually have a chance at winning this year!

Listed below are the TOP 3 Finishers along with the Biggest Loser!
1st Place: @Beverlx 410 points
2nd Place: @Alaska Chris 425 points - Tie breaker goes to Most Wins (3)
3rd Place: @wpeters 425 points - Tie breaker goes to Most Wins (0)
Biggest Loser: @idigrust 530 points, participated in all 36 races and never double picked!!
Interesting STATS for the year....
Most Wins: @kamsquared (yours truly) - 5 wins total (but finished a dismal 9th.......)
Most Top 5s: @wpeters - 16
Most Top 10s: @wpeters - 23
Most Top 20s: @Beverlx - 31
Meteoric Rise to the TOP: Never give UP in this pool... @wpeters missed the 2nd race of the year and was still in 18th place on week 7.....by week 20 he was in 2nd place and ended up in the money on week 36!
Best Run of the Year: @Alaska Chris was never lower than 5th place since Daytona!!
@Beverlx took over 1st place on week 13 at Charlotte and never went below 2nd place after that......!
Worst Runs of the Year
These guys picked great drivers all year but couldn't get a break.....
@renokenn started in 15th at Daytona, moved ALL THE WAY up to 13th before finishing out in 16th. Here's a hint.....don't pick Danica Patrick just cuz she looks good in a swim suit.....
@Scott Rollert started in 13th at Daytona, moved up to 8th and finished in 14th........ Who would have thought Martin Truex would finish 37th
at Texas or AJ would crash out in Sonoma?!?!?
Thanks to all who participated and I hope you had a good time!

Re: PRIZES: 2018 NASCAR Pick A Winner
I hadn't followed NASCAR since junior high school until this pool came along. This year I got unlucky a little less than anyone else did. Salute to all who played.
That pretty green FIESTA PACK for me, please.
Thanks, @kamsquared!

Re: PRIZES: 2018 NASCAR Pick A Winner
Our strategy based on the last 3 years should be to BAN @wpeters and @Alaska Chris from even playing!!
Along with Beamer and Beverlx....those guys are killing us!

Re: PRIZES: 2018 NASCAR Pick A Winner
@kamsquared Actually I had a plan. Daytona/Talledega are crap shoots and Danica was as good as anybody. With that reasoning (doesn't mean it's good reasoning) and the idea you can't win if your pick is the same as everyone else, swimsuit model was it. Then with my amazing timing skills my driver of the week would finish 35th and the following week 1st. Taken me 70 some years to develop those skills and the reason why I can live in Nevada and never lose a nickel gambling.
As for the biggest loser, there is no excuse. I even had a spreadsheet with my picks so as not to double pick. Hint to self - look at the stupid spreadsheet!
All in all, it was fun. Thanks for putting it on.
Kenn

Hi Nascar players, I just got back today from hunting for the last 6 weeks. Was on several hunting trips. Congratulations to Beverlx on being this years nascar champion. Also to wpeters for 3rd place. I will send the Alaska soda can to the biggest loser Dan Bora. Thank you very much kamsquared Kurt for running this fantasy league and to the people who donated the cool cans. I got my Pikes Peak can. Alaska Chris
Until next time, may your totes always be full of cans and your past and future dumping trips be in your dreams at night.
