Oh man what a finish!! Fender to fender at the finish line with the rest of the field wrecking behind them and Clint Boyer crossing the finish line upside down and on fire! Just incredible!

While it would have been nice to see Mark Martin finally win one I'm glad they didn't throw the caution, let 'em race back to the line.

I was picking Tony Stewart to win and it looked like he had it until the wreck with Kurt Bush, man was I bummed. Johnson, Stewart, and Junior all wrecked out. The three guys I root for all out of the race.

I'm going to go out on a limb and pick a Childress car to win the championship this year. Tough call between Harvick and Burton but maybe Harvick will be your man, he's certainly off to a good start.

Fantastic finish and it was good to see they let the race finish under green. Sure would have liked to see Martin win but now that he has dumped Ford for Chev. I dont care too much. My pick for Champ is Roush with Fenway money how can he loose. Harvick is more than likley the one though.

Rousch will rule
From all the interviews I've heard RCR seems to have the best program with the Car Of Tomorrow which will be a big factor in determining the championship this year. RCR's runnin' real strong the past year and a half and, with the C.O.T. coming in, I'm betting on one of them to win it all. Wanna' bet a dumper RCR finishes higher in the chase than Rousch? Tough bet for me because Childress only has two decent cars and Rousch has 4 (McMurray blows). I"m game if you are.

I don't know Mike, looks like I may end up owing you can at the end of the season. Still plenty of time though. At this point though we're both rooting for also rans, man if you're not at Hendrick this year you're NOWHERE. Heck, even Junior jumped ship and went over.

Maybe RCR will pickup K Bush for 08???? For me at least Roush is getting better with the COT so maybe there is a chance for a win. Kenseth and Edwards can both lead but can not seem to win. Oh well just half way now so it can all change (The chase that is) anyway lets hope so.

OK Murph, it's a new race now. The field is set for the chase. RCR has three cars in there and Rousch has two. My guys have one more car than yours but both of your guys are starting higher in the points so it's still anyone's game. Johnson's on a hot streak and Hamlin is runnin' real well but I'm thinking it'll be a Hendrick car to win it all. Now I just have to hope RCR can finish higher than Rousch. Burton can do anything lately, Harvick is so-so at best right now, Bowyer's pretty hot lately but he's no champion. Kensith is being his typical boring self but Edwards is running well so you've got me a little nervous about our bet. I've got a baldy Beer riding on it so you may wind up with a new O/I for the shelf when this is over. I sure hope not. ;)

Mike's been telling me of your bet. Hendrick (cough, cough) is looking strong. I'm gonna be pullin' for the sleeper here, Kurt Busch driving a beer sponsored Dodge.

Dave, Anybody's race now but I think Mr boring will come through for me. Edwards is my #1 now that Martin has gone to Chev and the worst move of all to DEI in Jrs car next year, I can only hope Bud will not be the sponsor. Only 10 more races till I add a OI to the shelf thanks to Kenseth or Edwards. I really think Johnson or Gordon will be #1.

Martin has gone to Chev and the worst move of all to DEI in Jrs car next year
Is that true? Mark Matin's taking Junior's ride next year? Man, hadn't heard that. Wow. I think Bud went over to Kasy Kahne, still don't know who Junior's sponsor will be. Man, Mark Martin in the "8, she should have just let Junior take that number with him. I just can't see him driving the #5 Kellog's Chevrolet. I suppose if Tony Stewart can drive the Home Depot TOYOTA than anything is possible.

OK Murph, I just got me one. RCR comes out swingin' with the first win of the chase! Boyer was certainly dominant but I doubt we'll see a repeat performance any time soon. Harvick and Burton were both awful and both the Roush entries were rather uninspiring. Other than the one underdog who actually won the thing it wasn't a exactly a banner day for either of our teams. As it stands now Bowyer is in 4th with Kenseth and Edwards at 7th and 8th. I think Burton and Harvick are 10th and 11th, yech.

:director: And Rustmonger pulls out to a slim lead early in the going, let's see if he can keep it up. :clock:

Dave it looks like you beat me into the lead but with 9 to go I still have confidence in my guys. The race over all was kind of boring but Boyer was a runaway. Good for him, about time he won a race even though he is a RCR driver, at least Hendrick did not win. Last I saw Jr will take over the 25 team with #88 and Mears will move into the 5 team.

OUCH! Man I took a BEATING! Gotta' hand it to you Murph, your boys came on strong this week. The stats don't show it but Kenseth was REAL fast this week too. RCR was just misserable but Bowyer's still 10 ahead of Edwards in the points and they're heading to his hometown this week so maybe he'll pull another out of his butt. My guess is he'll try too hard and do something stupid though, he's still young. Nice to see Biffle back up there contending for the win again. I've always liked the guy but, you gotta' admit, he's a cold streak that hasn't been seen since the ice age. I just saw on Nascar.com that Edwards got whacked 25pts for failing post race inspection otherwise he'd be second in the points right now. Looks like it was more of an honest mistake than cheating but it may be enough to cost you a beer can in 8 more weeks. Time will tell.

Dave, Looks like you are in the lead again. Too bad Bif is not in the chase as Edwards dnf and Kensteh was a lap down. You should have a good race next week as Roush has not been that good on super speed ways. Oh well there are still 7 left. At least a Ford won.

Man, WHAT happened????? I had to work today so I recorded the race on my DVR. It only lets me extend the recording time 90 minutes so, when it stopped, it was pouring out and Stewart had the win. Now I just checked NASCAR.com and it said Biffle won! Sounds like it was pretty wild there after the red flag. It helped me in our little bet with Bowyer finishing where he did but, I have to admit, I feel bad for Kenseth. Two weeks in a row he had a winning car and got burned. Just aint his year. Bad luck for most of the chasers from the looks of it. Tough week. 7 to go!

Wow, what a crazy race. First all the scrubs start out front and then the guys that just ride around in the back of the pack end up finishing the best. Had some real good racing at times but the middle was pretty boring, everyone just got in line and logged laps. I felt really bad for Junior, he keeps having great runs only to blow up before the end. With all the Childress/DEI engines blowing up I was really sweating our little bet Mike. First Burton, then, Truex, Harvick, Junior and the other DEI 01 car. I think Bowyer was the only one with that engine that was still running on all 8 at the end. WHEW! Another tough break for Kenseth this week, that guy can't buy a break this year.

Dave you are starting to pull away but I still hold hope. You are right about the race being boring until the end and I can not believe Gordon & Johnson hiding out until the end was near. DEI & RCR engines did not do to good. One more week like past and I'll start getting OIs ready for your pick.

Well that didn't do much for our bet. Bowyer finished 2nd but Edwards had a top 5 too so didn't do much for the points. Looks like it's a two horse race for us right now. Bowyer's my only chance and Edwards is yours, the rest of the guys are having some terrible luck in the chase. It'll take some bad luck on Bowyer's part (he's due for some) but Edwards can still pull it off. I doubt anyone can beat Gordon for the championship but at least our bet keeps it interesting.

2 -- Jimmie Johnson 5812 -68
