Matchbooks

Does anyone collect matchbooks? Got some from work and brought them home to see if they were beer related. They are all restaurant and hotel related. You pay shipping?

Safety Matches

Safety matches have treated match heads that will only ignite when struck against a specially prepared surface like a match book, card, or box. Safety matches must be sent via ground transportation and cannot be mailed internationally.

Safety Matches. The conditions in Packaging Instruction 4B in Appendix C must be followed. Mailpieces must be plainly and durable marked on the address side with “Surface Only” or “Surface Mail Only” and, as applicable, “Book Matches,” “Strike–on–Card Matches,” or “Card Matches.” A shipper’s declaration for dangerous goods is not required.

Easy now. Yelpster runs his own post office here in Iowa. It is not wise to test his knowledge....

No Mike he is right if you go by the book. They could go ground only. Just imagine your package mixed with ammunition and a pint of 151. Cant start a fire without a spark.
