Lucky Sparkling Ale

#1

Post by Onefineday »

I recently sold this can on ebay, and due to a deadbeat bidder, it is once again available. First $550 takes and includes shipping.

Paypal, friends and family preferred.

There is some light fading in the red around the "LU" of lucky and the "A" of ale.

So winner for $560 was a deadbeat and the $550 bidder didn’t accept the second chance offer?

I didn't send a second chance offer, thought I'd try it here first, to save some ebay fees and potentially save the person buying it the ebay sales tax.

I will list it on ebay again, if there are no takers here after a day or so.

Just relisted this on ebay and because of using the word "deadbeat" I received a lengthy warning from ebay in all red letters about threatening bidders who don't pay is not allowed, and that they may take away my top rated status, among other things I no longer recall.

Of course saying that I'm relisting this due to a deadbeat bidder does not qualify as threatening anyone, it appears the AI implemented on ebay has become a burden to sellers. There was no option to list anyways, I simply would not be permitted to list my item with the words deadbeat bidder.

Period.

I see you have stealthily gotten around Ebay's rules to still get your point across.

Did ole' Clyde give a reason for not paying?

You never know on EBay. The face you think is behind the mask can change in a heart beat. I recently bought a nice can, great price, and the seller promptly cancelled the sale; "Item no longer available" as I recall. Curiously he then turned around and tried to trade it for a can I had for sale through a third party. Oops!!! Makes me wonder what price point integrity and character presents itself today. Fortunately for me, it was only a trader as I already have the can, in better condition, in my collection. Still crossed him off the list.

Nope, what I don't get is that he bid in the last few seconds, then instead of paying right away like most bidders would do I received nothing but the "sound of silence". Why even bother if you are not going to pay, then not even having the decency to let me know why, qualifies as "Deadbeat" in my book.

Sadly like a virgin college girl after announcing that the virginity is no more, it appears now that my can is "defiled", even the previous suitors have lost interest, all thanks to a dead beat bidder.......

Sounds like your deadbeat bidder was possibly just trying to run the bid up to make someone pay more and then got caught with his pants down when he got the high bid. Probably didn’t expect to. I am convinced there are Ebayers whose sole purpose for living is to drive bids higher

I had 3 bids of $500 or more for this can, so I'm going to offer it here for $500 shipped before lowering the ebay price. The best part?

No state sales tax! :smt026
