Great stuff Leon...I still need that Alpine..tough can. I see the Dorans is a Zip and had noted it's not in Dave Fowler's guide, I meant to ask him about it.

My favorite part is reading your description on the auction. I love how you throw in your little zing to ebay! Great stuff! Woody

Katfish(Jack R) on Ebay always has the best slogan like this one to paypal
I do accept all forms of payment and if you like to see the old dude do the happy jig, just avoid the greedy pig.

Re: Canadian Zip Tops for sale.
I'm pretty sure that Doran can is listed in Dave's book. It is a fairly common can. I'm alittle taken back at that price in that condition. I'll be at the Toronto show here in a few weeks and I can't give those cans away and I have a few in my tote in mint condition.Canadacan wrote:Great stuff Leon...I still need that Alpine..tough can. Re: Canadian Zip Tops for sale.
It is only listed as a pull tab, not a Zip top in the book. It is a tough variation of that can,

Ahhh, good eye. I can't say that I noticed before. Well it made me open my totes for a second look. Two zips and one pull.curt wrote:It is only listed as a pull tab, not a Zip top in the book. It is a tough variation of that can,

Re: Canadian Zip Tops for sale.
Not to hijack Leons thread but If they are clean with so many people specializing in Zip Tops you may be able to get a decent penny for them..Way tougher than the tab.

Re: Canadian Zip Tops for sale.
Some one said this to me today .... "I wouldn't pay any more than a loonie for one regardless of what top is on it unless it the Imported version".... which means I already paid too much for mine!

Re: Canadian Zip Tops for sale.
So my next question is, is the Northern zip (which is not listed in Fowler book) just as tough?? I had a zip in my tote this past spring and was a bit surprised when some one wanted it

Re: Canadian Zip Tops for sale.
It's definitely a tougher Canadian can that you don't see every day. Its an R5 in the book.ronsmall wrote:How good is this one?

Re: Canadian Zip Tops for sale.
That sucks. If I had known I'd have held if for you. It was part of a Brewers Retail display that I found on Kijiji out of Ottawa.curt wrote:I would say so.. Re: Canadian Zip Tops for sale.
Beautifil can. As Curt said, you don't see them very often. I did however find a dump last summer that is full of of Stock Ale zips. I have plenty of off grade cans.ronsmall wrote:How good is this one?

No bids on the Alpine, I was told they been seen getting over $200 on ebay before. Thought $49 was cheap, a steal
