Sorry for those that missed the Canvention in Cleveland. Everybody was in our thoughts. Here are a few item from the RB meeting held on 25 Aug.
President opened the meeting introducing the officers and thanks them and the others that take time out of their day to make the forum a success.
We opened with giving away a Dorf can with a Florida stamp
We gave away a RB ballcap which went to Mike Beam (Beamer)
We provided many thanks to those that help bring things together for the Chapter and Cleveland including:
- Our Sponsors/Advertisers. The Chapter owes much thanks to them for providing some of the amazing raffle cans we have to sell.
- Dave Waugh for the BCCA Magazine work and work on the website. A plaque was presented (see below) along with a $100 gift card with our Sponsors.
- Barry Travis for Graphics Work. A plaque was presented (see below) along with a $100 gift card with our Sponsors.
- Mark Crane for CANvention support. We can't thank Mark enough for the support he has provided this Chapter.
- Andrew Borgstrom (Zoinkss) for his donation of Rainer cans to the chapter
- Those that helped as Table Volunteers and RB Display Setup
- The Chapter also thanked Dave's Step-mother for allowing us to fill up her garage with a bunch of boxes that would be used in the RB dump and the display.
We then took time to recognize both BCCA HOF contenders - Danny Bora and Keith Bennett. Keith went on to win the BCCA HOF.
We took time to remember those lost in the time since the Spring Thaw show including:
- Steve Puff (Puffdaddy)
- Ed Crosby
- Janet Small wife of Ron Small (Lutherpin)
- Bob McClure (non-RB but a legend in the BCCA)
and then had a moment of silence
We then read off the following reports (some are included in the agenda below):
- Treasurer - Dave Reid (Page 5 of agenda)
- Membership – Dave Reid (Page 5 of agenda)
- Merchandise Update - Dave Reid
- Editor – Chris Taylor
- Website – Danny Bora (Page 6 of agenda)
We gave away a 2d can (Baltz Tempo can) won by Clayton

- Lucky Dumper – Leon Hampton @Leon for his amazing ROG Pre-pro Pearl Foam sign. Story can been read here:
viewtopic.php?f=111&t=42042
We asked if there was any old business which there was none of.
We asked if there was any new business.
We then held officer elections.
Choice for President we Keith Kerschner (keithker) and Dan Scoglietti (CMD). Dan chose not to be in the running and asked the membership to select Keith.
We had a paper ballot for Vice president between Dave Reid (DaveNH) and Gary Allison (Angry Gary) with Dave winning the vote.
We gave away a nice shiny Heidel-Brau
Here is the agenda and plaques (the award.com symbol is not actually on the plaques)

Yeah, Somehow my speakers got muted. Sabotage. I'm glad I did not get the unlucky dumper award & hope my crystal ball does not predict one in the future. Who was the loud person in the Audience, sounded like one to many to drink possibly. no insult intended, LEON.
P.S. Was wondering what kind of accent that was
