Just got here and I've already found great stuff. Finished off my Blatz set with the Lt. Blue and Pink cans. Looks like it's going to be a great show.

Re: POST YOUR CANVENTION AND PICKUPS HERE PLEASE
Here is my take from Canvention Cleveland. Budweiser is 10 oz. split label, Tech 8 oz can has stripes, Point flat is siver trimmed, and the other Point has a juice top. Great show with a lot of nice cans and collectors.
Went to the Indians game and the Pro Football HOF. Great trip.

Flats, cones & early tabs. Ohio cans, ultra clean cans & shine. East coast cans. Rare rust. And, whatever else catches my eye.

Re: POST YOUR CANVENTION AND PICKUPS HERE PLEASE
Here is my take. Unfortunately, work prevented me from being there earlier in the week so I was only on the trade show Saturday. Many people started to leave around noon so this was as much as I could get. Hopefully, my schedule will allow me to be at Omaha longer next year. As always, it was a good time.
One Drewrys is from Chicago and one is from South Bend. These cans were a transition for Drewrys so they are most commonly found as some type of tab. I am especially happy with the Berghoff. The rust on the seam extended into the paint a little but overall it is really nice.

Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Some foreign pickups . The Felinfoel is thought to be the first non USA can on the market. The Gruner and Long Life are zip tops.

Re: POST YOUR CANVENTION AND PICKUPS HERE PLEASE
Beamer's Promise Kept is CHOICE. It was the last thing I held and ogled before leaving Cleveland this morning.
As for my pickups, I filled a lot of Michigan 5 liter holes per the pictures. Grabbed some new cans and upgrades, a Pfeiffer r-o-g, Ekhardt and Becker Bock diecut from the 30s, some original artwork from the Altes archives and a number of caps for my conetops. I was also pleased to pick up a stunningly clean and undamaged Stroh's calendar from my birth year of 1968 (Dec 1967 is the first page).
Probably my favorite piece of the show came from John Ahrens - the Stroh's beach towel. Such a fantastic, uniquely cheezy MI breweriana piece for a whopping big $5. It will be proudly displayed!
Canvention was a big, big time. Too much to recap here, so I'll fill in the details on another thread.

Re: POST YOUR CANVENTION AND PICKUPS HERE PLEASE
Here's my Canvention 47 take:
The Maier and the Koehler's came from recent wall finds, acquired by the Beer Cans Plus guys.
Old Bohemia and 20 Grand came from Ed Papin. Which, are shockingly, the only two OH cans I acquired at the show.
Overall a great experience with an overwhelming amount of cans and an honestly, overwhelming amount to beer. LOL!!!

Re: POST YOUR CANVENTION AND PICKUPS HERE PLEASE
Posted previously in General Discussion as the show unfolded, posted here for posterity (or perhaps because I was chastised for posting them elsewhere, LOL).
I had a nice little "three cans per day" thing going on until I made an offer on the Krueger's Cream Ale late Friday to top off a phenomenal show.
