Lone Star "glass" beer can?

#1

Post by dgcans »

I was rummaging through my matchbooks today and found on the back of this Lone Star matchbook that it advertises a glass can. It looks like a crowntainer but I doubt this matchbook is very old. Does anybody know what this is or have one to show?

There’s some in this picture. I use the term glass can all the time. Used from about 1958 (at earliest) to mid 70’s. If you find them with a pop off type top it’s usually 1970 or older. And they were used nationwide.
