Huberman's take from Portland Canvention 2016

What a week, what a show! Incredible is all I can say. I drove up from San Jose leaving on Monday and stayed in Grant's Pass Oregon the first night. the next day I made it to Portland via the Oregon Coast and the Pellican brewing company. Arrived around 7 PM ready to have beer, meet old and new friends and trade/sell cans. My most successful night ever-smart move to bring shelf cans-they move. I only returned with 3 of the seven cans I brought.

The next morning was the golf tournament and I took 3rd place-what a surprise. Wonderful outing with the best camaraderie I have ever experienced on a golf course followed by a delicious lunch and awards ceremony.

More room to room and then the big event on Thursday. I arrived a bit late since I needed some extra sleep and walked around and found a holy grail can I have never seen in person. Dan Morean had a white burger quart (204-15) on his table from the McCaslin collection. I was dumbfounded when I saw it and new I could not leave without it in my possession. We struck a deal and now I am the happy owner of a very rare can (I could argue rarest of the show but will not. It is not most desirable even with 5-6 known according to my Cincy experts).

Got one of the white horses, a nice valley brew can along with a nice wiedeman eagle crown. Also some water cans from Hamilton Ohio-I let Truckwash Doug get one for sentimental reasons. Also a very nice 1918 Bevo crate. Good thing I drove or toting this back would have been difficult.

Micro night was fun and required another sleep in.

Friday Jersey shore party was a blast.

Left for home on Saturday and stayed in Chico last night to visit Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. before making it home this afternoon.

Wonderful week.

-Chris
