Rand's Canvention Take
Sorry the pictures aren't all that great.....just did a 12 hour marathon drive from Portland to Yosemite and am completely frazzled......but wanted to put up something to chew on. Here's all the stuff I came back with!

Re: Rand's Canvention Take
Nice cans.
What I really like about the Canvention is the ease of getting cans from coast to coast. I bet you got that Goebel can from a Midwest collector who had a good supply of them. In return, they probably got a Western can from you that you had in good supply. Works well for both parties because they both get something that might be in short supply at their local chapter show.

Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan

Re: Rand's Canvention Take
I was able to shake loose a few cans from the Rand-Me-Down tree including this beauty that needed some special attention on the way home. I swaddled it in the only Tshirt I had with me that I wasn't wearing (having been worn the day before). When I got home and opened this little bundle of rusty joy, I realized the appropriateness of my choice of swaddling.
This crusty little angel is now in a can container - safe and sound for the remainder of it's days.
Thanks again Rand!

Don't think the GB Ale ever made it to the trading floor......was able to cut a back room deal for that one, the NuDeal, and the Goebel Goebel with my new best friend! :-)Cap-Sealed wrote:Where/when did the GB Ale pop up?

Great seeing everybody! :-)

Same tray design, better surface....the original one was pretty "crackly" throughout most of the face.Sea Monkey wrote:Isn't that the same Yosemite tray I traded you maybe 4 years ago?!?

Re: Rand's Canvention Take
There are very few people that can get a can (or three) directly off my shelf. It is hard to resist a Whisper.Rand wrote:Don't think the GB Ale ever made it to the trading floor......was able to cut a back room deal for that one, the NuDeal, and the Goebel Goebel with my new best friend! :-)Cap-Sealed wrote:Where/when did the GB Ale pop up?
