This weekend's digs and maybe something rare.
I started off with this Acme
Which I never dug before so I hunkered down and slowly poked around.
Then these crowns started showing up and I only grabbed a few.
Then I dug this sweet Sick's Select with a 1940 paper label still intact.
Then I moved on to dig another new spot I recently found and after a bunch of prohibition whisky flasks and stubbies kept popping out I started to dig some ate up cone tops and these 1936 Budweiser's
And here are the few crowns I saved . But the one odd one seems to say Gold Belt beer? Has anyone heard of this brand? And from what I've found on line so far a 1939 Fairbanks Alaska has turned up.
Another ad
And a photos I found online of a bottle at auction.
after cleaning some cans these three came out the best.
Then on the way to the truck poking around here and there I found the next two cans.
Other than that I had fun digging in the cooler weather now. Winter is fast approaching. And I hope to get another dig in next weekend.
Hopefully I solve the mystery as to if that crown is a Gold Belt crown. I need to clean it more.

Daniel,
Many times the crown is worth much more than the bottle, and your crown may be an example of this. There are some knowledgeable guys on this board that know crowns. I am curious to see myself.
Cheers
Greg

Re: This weekend's digs and maybe something rare.
Daniel.....The odds are best that the cap came from this brewery (thanks to Tavern Trove of the brewery history data)....
Trade names for the brewery at 103 1st Avenue, Fairbanks, Alaska
Issued permit ALS-U-1200 allowing the operation of a brewery after Repeal 1933
Fairbanks Brewing Association, Inc. 1934-1935
Closed in 1935
That fate of the brewery property is unknown.
Products:
Gold Belt Beer 1934 - 1935
Based on the duration that the beer was produced it would seem to be a pretty rare cap but I don't collect caps...

Thanks Keithker for all that info. We've been trying to chase the info down all day. Makes you wonder how rare is rare now that it was brewed for under a year. Thank you for the info bud.

I expect you'll be revisiting that spot.

Already had planned on going back this weekend. Before any info or lack thereof on that crown came about. But now I'll dig that spot slowly
