Bob L's digging pics
I haven't had nearly the illustrious digging career as guys like Ed, Herman, Dale, etc. But, I've done my fair share of digging over the years and have had a lot of fun with it. Many great adventures to fondly remember. To use a baseball analogy, I've not often hit the home run out of the ballpark with rare exotic cans, but have hit singles and doubles pretty consistently for a decent batting average. Early digging adventures were in the Ozarks with Kotto and his bros and with Andy Caldwell. We didn't take many pictures back then. I wish we had, as many great finds and experiences are left to memory alone. Later, Andy and I started going up north to MN/Wis/UP and teamed up with Baker and others. In recent years, we've been mixing it up between the northwoods and trips out west, but I only get out digging once or twice per year any more. Following will be some pictures from over the years. Hope you find them enjoyable.

Re: Bob L's digging pics
To start off with, here's some of my favorite cans that I've dug over the years. So many to choose from, hard to narrow it down to a few favorites.

Re: Bob L's digging pics
these cans were from one of our first trips up north, in the UP. We went up the Keweenaw peninsula. We were tickled to death with this stuff back then. 1999 I think.

Here was the Lubeck find, one of our last significant Ozark digs. With Andy, Paul King and CMD.

Re: Bob L's digging pics
An early UP trip. We teamed up with Baker and actually had Dale come out to show us the ropes on pit digging.

Re: Bob L's digging pics
A solo trip to MN in 2007. Really enjoyed this one. Took my mountain bike and tent camped. Used the mountain bike to get back to some places that were not accessible by vehicle anymore.

Re: Bob L's digging pics
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!!!!! You consider those finds a .225 batting average??? I find perception to be a funny funny thing...if you don't see any home runs in those your goal must have been to find Hoffa while you digging. Good golly what great memories and great cans.

Re: Bob L's digging pics
A quick bullet trip to western PA to test the waters there. With Andy and Dan. We found most of the good stuff at one killer spot. Interestingly story on that.... We dug there for a while, finding some really cool stuff, went down the road just a bit, intending to come back later and detect more for additional pits, but somebody moved in and set up camp, so we couldn't get back in. Turns out, Conehead went to that same spot more recently and made his killer find, with most of the stuff being buried farther away from the camp up the hill.
