Re: March Madness
As for winning bracket "picks" it will be interesting to see leaderboard after this coming weekend. As for winning "pics" so far definitely found at Keith's posted link...Beamer wrote:My winning? picks are in.

Re: March Madness
Well.... day one I am in first place w/a 15-1 record and picked every upset, but one! Lost NC St over St Louis by 3 pts. Its fun to talk smack when your picks are doing well! But I told you all I would win this tourny!
1st) First of all I want to Thank Randy K. for starting this bracket!!! Job well done!
2nd) Our Rusty Bunch officers for throwing in some great cans that a member may put on there shelf!
3rd) Why are you not a member of this club? You are missing out!

Re: March Madness
You had a very impressive day one Mister, and you had the only miss of NCSU / St Louis correct until amazing Stl comeback in last minute of regulation. I was hoping someone RB would have a perfect bracket after the first two rounds to at least think about possibility of that perfect $1 million bracket. Ohio State blew that chance for many in the first couple hours.Brent Gesland wrote:Well.... day one I am in first place w/a 15-1 record and picked every upset, but one! I like the Fox Sports real time updates to the brackets, showing games scores in progress, automatic green/red update of your results, and quick update of our group leader board. While current leader board ranking is important, pay close attention to that PPR column (Possible Points Remaining). Not a good sign to be up toward the top of the leader board but to have a very low PPR compared to others. Essentially means you blew your final 4 or final 2 pick, and going to peak much earlier than others (hey, I think they sell a pill for that now days).

Re: March Madness
What is your bracket name Rawley? Some people didn't put their RB handle in the bracket name, and I can't tell exactly who's who from all the member names either. Winners will have to identify themselves to claim prizes of course. For my brackets any chance of that seems long gone. Also some early names on top of the leaderboard now have some very low PPR with all the upsets already blowing their final four/winner picks.Ceskydup wrote:I think I am in?
Note: I could have been clearer, but I locked our group about 30 minutes before tip-off of the first game between OSU and Dayton. While Fox Sports may have allowed you to modify your actual picks up until the last second, I locked our Rusty Bunch group before running off to work. Ten days advance notice still pretty much enough warning.
Here is the latest. I still think Bob must have some inside NCCA information to be picking so well! Also, what the heck is an Aussie doing up near the top!!!

Re: March Madness
I will post something later tonight. Messages mostly just sent to RB within the tournament. Most of us have big ZERO chance of top three finishes, with possible points remaining the big ZERO.Ceskydup wrote:Any update on who's winning? and who is in contention?

Re: March Madness - Final Four Update
Here is the latest leaderboard information for the Rusty Bunch NCAA tournament brackets. I have posted both the current leader board as well as "potential leaders" depending on possibilities of the remaining picks. Those of us (and there are many) that have a PPR (possible points remaining) of a big fat zero are stuck at our current points total and can only watch some good basketball and wait until next year.
There are a couple not in the current top three (such as "bclinton bracket" and "HiJax's Bench") that still have a shot just depending on combination of winners. Problem at this point is the current leaders may also have the same remaining team picks, so both will move up depending on these final three games of the tournament. I still say it is all Ohio State's fault letting these underdog teams get so much confidence, which spread quickly, and no favorite is safe anymore!

Re: March Madness
Wow, I just looked at overall leaderboard in Fox Sports for all groups. The leader has 102 points and has correctly picked all final four teams! His/her only major mistake was picking Wolford to beat Michigan in the first round, but still running away with overall top prize.
