Iroquois Indian Head Olive Drab crown?

#1

Post by crowntainer »

Has anyone ever seen an Iroquois Indian Head Olive Drab crown cap before? I recently lucked into adding the J Spout to my collection and wanting to find out if there is any chance of locating a correct matching crown for it. (Picture below) Seems like I have seen them before. Any help, pictures or someone with one available? Thanks!

Since these are all shoe polish cans with that resealable top I would think a real cap/crown for one of these much rarer then the can. Is that the same shoe polish can that just sold for $700 on ebay? LEON.

No, this is not the shoe polish can off ebay as there is no way I would spend $693 on a scratch off. This one is from a moth ball collection dating back nearly 50 years. I purchased it from the son in law, who inherited the collection and stopped collecting himself around 1980. This was the best can of the bunch.

I've got the can as well but no crown for it. I'm very interested too.
